About

The pursuit

Michael Gar is a rising star in elite triathlon, representing Great Britain on the international stage. Born in England with Italian heritage on his mother's side, he brings an international perspective to the sport. At 22 he is already racing the World Triathlon Championship Series.

He balances a Finance and Accounting degree at Cardiff University with elite training as part of the Welsh Triathlon National Talent Performance Centre, and has raced for 707 Team Minini in Italy for over a year.

“It's challenging balancing university and elite-level sport, but it's the lifestyle I love. My objective is becoming a professional triathlete after graduation.”
